Kristina Maria Wildman

Kristina (Kris) Maria Wildman was born on September 24, 1949 in Washington DC.  The only child of Mollie and Roy Wildman, Kris grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland and attended public schools there.  Upon graduation from Montgomery Blair High School, she enrolled in the Gardner School of Business and graduated in 1970.  Her work experience consisted of working as an Administrative Assistant to the Governor of Pennsylvania, at C&P Telephone Company, and at the US Capitol Telephone Exchange from which she retired from in 2006. Kris was a member of the International Order of Job's Daughters and the Daughters of the Spanish-American War where she served as National President in 1998-1999.  She was an officer of the Ladies Oriental Shrine of NA, Suzu Court No. 23, Washington, DC. Kris was initiated into Ruth Chapter No. 1, Order of the Eastern Star of the District of Columbia on January 19, 1970.  She served as Worthy Matron in 1985 with her father and again in 1990.  After Ruth Chapter consolidated with Friendship Chapter No. 17 in 2002, Kris served as Worthy Matron in 2005.  She is a dual member with Federal Chapter No. 38 affiliating on March 3, 2003.  She was appointed Grand Esther in 1988 and served as an appointed Grand Officer in 1996, 2000, 2002, and 2005.  She served on many Grand Chapter committees and was elected Associate Grand Conductress in 2008.  In 2011, she was installed as Worthy Grand Matron with Brother Kenneth L. Foran.  The theme of their year was "Life is a Masquerade."  Their year was filled with colors of Mardi Gras - purple, green and gold.  The fun emblem, Venetian Masks, was based on her collection of several beautiful ones she purchased on her trip to Italy. Travel was a big part of Kris's life.  She traveled to many of the states, Canada, and other foreign countries.  She has attended many Triennial Assemblies of the General Grand Chapter throughout the years.  She loved to go on cruises.  Kris's hobbies included cross-stitching, crocheting and cooking.  Kris was a great cook and loved to try new recipes.  Lastly she was a devoted mother to her several cats.
