Barbara Jane Kline

December 1, 1927 — June 30, 2017

Mrs. Barbara J. Kline, age 89 of Walkersville, went home to be with the Lord and is at peace on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Northampton Manor, Frederick. She was the wife of the late Arthur Guy "Dick" Kline, Jr. who passed away in 2002. Born on December 1, 1927 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Ruben and Altha Bishop.

Mrs. Kline was a graduate of Frederick High School. She was a long time member of the New Life Church, Frederick where she served the church as a Sunday school teacher. She considered her church to be like her second family. She was a supporter of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, doing puzzles, animals, nature, birds and traveling. She loved people and was very warm and welcoming. Her favorite color was green and she loved roses.

Mrs. Kline is survived by her son Kenneth G. Kline of Walkersville, her sister-in-law Doris Leedy of Taneytown and a number of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother Eugene Bishop and sister Lucille Disanti. The family would like to extend there thanks to all the staff at Northamption Manor for all there loving care.

Friends will be received on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, MD 21701. Funeral services are planned for Friday, July 7, 2017 at 2 PM at the New Life Church, 5913 Jefferson Pike, Frederick. The interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Kline's name directly to the funeral home at the above address.
