June A. Johnson

     Mrs. June A. Johnson, 93, of Frederick and formerly of southern California, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Johnson. Born in Los Angeles, CA, on January 2,1924, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Charlotte Rubio David.        She was a homemaker for most of her life and had attended St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Los Angeles, CA and more recently St. Joseph on Carrollton Manor Catholic Church.        Surviving are her children, Edward Cantu, of Las Vegas, NV, Daniel Carrillo and wife Cheryl, of Whitter, CA, Rick Johnson and wife Haydee, of Casper, Wyoming and Julie A. Burciaga and husband Tom, of Frederick, MD. One brother, William Evans, of Bullhead, AZ and one sister, Josephine Freese, of La Mirada, CA. Six grandchildren, Darren Carrillo, Jessica Frohn, Jennifer Mission, Alexis Johnson, David Cantu and Shawn Cantu. Three great grandchildren, Avery Mission, Garrett Mission, Elizabeth Carrillo and several nieces and nephews.        A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at St. Joseph on Carrollton Manor Catholic Church, 5843 Manor Woods Road, Frederick, MD 21703. Inurnment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Frederick.
