Mr. Robert A. "Brick" Kennedy, 72, of Frederick, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017, in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Born in Frederick on September 17, 1944, he was a son of the late Robert Edward and Alice I. Wilson Kennedy.
Brick was on the National Little League All Star team in 1957 and the State Babe Ruth Team in 1960 that were Maryland State Champions and advanced to the Regional playoffs in Bridgeton, NJ.
Brick proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He spent most of his life involved with golf and worked for many years as a Golf Pro for several local country clubs and also in Virginia. He enjoyed playing golf, watching sports and playing cards.
Surviving is his son, Robert Scott Kennedy and Shari, of Warrenton, VA, his brother, V. Kevin Kennedy and Libby Plumer, of Frederick, grandchildren, Haley Kennedy and Nicholas Kennedy. He will also be remembered by a special friend, Jeanna Richards and his former wife, Linda Kennedy and niece, Kristie Reinhardt. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Jackson Kennedy.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, July 23, 2017. at the Amvets, in Frederick. Interment will be private. Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Frederick.
