Stanley Rex Shane

Mr. Stanley R. Shane, age 66 of Frederick, passed away from natural causes on Thursday, August 3, 2017. Born on February 17, 1951 in Frederick, MD he was the son of the late Jack C. & Emma Mae Simpson.Stan served briefly in the United States Marines before being medically discharged. He worked for Griff's Landing restaurant for over 25 years. He loved Animals, watching sports, and loved Elvis. Stan will be missed by his downtown family at Wags, Shuckin' Shack, Griff's Landing, and others. In addition to his downtown friends, Stan is survived by one brother, one niece, and one nephew; his close friends Sue Thomas, Jen Hagan, Tom Bishop, Robin Kollar, the Kidd family, Kirk Shaffer, Raja and Marty.Donation baskets will be placed at Wags and Shuckin' Shack to provide for Stan's proper resting place with his downtown Frederick family, with any remaining funds to be donated to the local animal shelter. To everyone who has known our dearest friend, please feel free to donate what you can. Envelopes will be provided. Please list your name and a time of remembrance with Stan and/or a comedic moment or story to portray his life and the mark he's bestowed upon us all.
