Timothy William Van Hall, 32, passed away suddenly of a cardio-vascular event, on August 17, 2017 at his home in Eldersburg, MD. Born on August 25, 1984 in Washington, D.C., he was the beloved son of Bill and Patti Van Hall of Middletown, MD.
Tim was a graduate of Middletown High School class of 2003 and went on to receive a degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales in Providence, Rhode Island. He started his chef career at Hagan’s Tavern where he worked until it’s closing. He then went on to be a chef at the Red Horse, Hollow Creek Country Club, Right Turn Rehab Center, and was presently employed at The County Cork Wine Pub in Eldersburg.
In addition to his parents, Tim is survived by grandparents Bill and Barbara Van Hall of Ridgefield, CT; aunts and uncles, Michael and Angie Wilkes, Chuck and Micki Wilkes, Laurie and Howie Bishop, Eric and Cathy Van Hall; and cousins, Shawna and Steve Hulin, Carter, Everett, and Chad Wilkes. Dawn, Josh, and Charles Wilkes. Nicky and Clayton Heam. Daniel and Johnathan Bishop. Eric, Tom, Chris and Haley Van Hall. As well as many friends.
Tim was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Ann Van Hall.
He will be greatly missed by his Golden Retriever, Enzo.
Tim was an extremely brilliant young man with passions for the culinary arts, animals and their welfare, landscaping, music of all kinds, sports, especially playing basketball with friends, and his beloved Redskins. Tim was a jack of all trades and could fix anything for anyone at any time. However, Tim’s true passion in life was mentoring and helping others in need. This is where he truly shined.
The family will receive friends from 1-3pm and 5-7pm on Friday August 25, 2017 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD, 21701.
