Earnest Lee Ball Sr., 70, of Pensacola, FL and formerly Frederick, passed away unexpectedly, on November 21, 2017 in Rowlesburg, WV. He was the husband of 51 years to Twyla Ann (King) Ball.
Born on October 8, 1947, he was the son of the late Earnest and Nelly Ball Tennihill. Ernie served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, after his service, he worked for more than 40 years at Canam Steel and also worked at Rosemont Service Center. He loved deer hunting and riding his trike. He and Twyla enjoyed going to Denny’s each morning for breakfast and to see their friends. He was a member of the Eagles Club in Pensacola, FL. He enjoyed drinking his Budweiser and spending time with his dogs, Trouble, Mya and Teaka.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Earnest Ball Jr. and girlfriend Katrina, Charles Ball and girlfriend Lynda, Michael Ball and wife Laurie, Stacey Lindeman and husband Michael; grandchildren, Michelle and Aaron Miller, Chris and Justin Ball, Savanna Clites, Chris, Colton, Tabi, Sami, and Cooper Lindeman; siblings, Patricia Preece and husband Lowell and Jimmy Ball; great-grandchildren, Chase, Preston, Issy, Tru, Lily and Evie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Sooner Ball.
The family will receive friends from 1-3pm and 5-7pm on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD. Friends will also be received from 10-11am on Monday, November 27th at the funeral home. The funeral service will begin at 11am. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
The family requests no flowers, and that donations in his honor be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association.
