S. Clerene "Renie" Crampton

Mrs. S. Clerene "Renie" Marks Crampton, of Frederick, died on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Kline Hospice House.

Born May 2, 1932, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late James D. Marks, Sr. and Gladys Clerene Milyard Marks. Renie was a graduate of Frederick High School, Class of 1950. She was employed for more than thirty years as Deputy Clerk of the Circuit Court of Frederick County.

She was a member of the Evangelical Reformed United Church of Christ, where she sang in both the Children's and the Senior Choirs. She enjoyed reading the Frederick News Post paper, marking each column on every page as she completed the same.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Kenneth T. Crampton; one son, Ross C. Crampton and wife Mary and grandson Colin R. Crampton. Renie is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm on Wednesday, November 29 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E Church Street, Frederick.; where funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, November 30 , with her pastor, The Rev. Dr. Barbara Kershner Daniel, officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in her memory be made to the Evangelical Reformed United Church of Christ Building Fund, 15 West Church St, Frederick, MD 21701.
