Kellie Ann Brown

Mrs. Kellie Ann Gearinger Brown of Smithsburg, MD, passed away on November 18, 2017 at the age of 52.
Kellie was born to parents Robert and Tempe Gearinger on September 1, 1965 in Frederick, MD. She grew up as the youngest of two and attended Middletown High School. On May 4, 1991, she married her best friend, Martin Ray Brown.
In 1988, Kellie took a position as a Special Education Teacher for the Frederick County Public School system, and later became a Special Educator for the Frederick County Developmental Center, where she worked with infants and toddlers, as well as their families.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Alexander, Connor, and Harrison Brown; and her father and brother, Robert and Steven Gearinger. She was preceded in death by her mother, Tempe Gearinger.
The family invites guest to attend a Celebration of Life for Kellie from 10am-1pm on Sunday, December 3rd, 2017 at Springfield Manor, 11836 Auburn Rd, Thurmont, Maryland 21788. Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Kellie requested that donations be made toward the research of Adenocarcinoma EGFR Exon 20 Insertion, a rare lung cancer mutation. In memory of Kellie and in honor of her wishes, the Brown family has established "The Kellie Gearinger Brown Program", a memorial donation fund through The Exon 20 Group at ICAN.
