Beverly Corene Day

Mrs. Beverly Corene Day, 62, of Boonsboro, MD, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at her home. She was the wife Eric V. Day. They were married on August 4, 1979.  Born on November 20, 1955 in Harrisburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Margaret Gallagher Sparks.
Beverly was a graduate of the class of 1973 of Wilson High School in Berks County, PA and the Hagerstown Business College in 1975.
Together with her husband they owned and operated Mountain Top Crafts, specializing in making baskets, and they were involved with many craft shows, including the Maryland Christmas Show in Frederick, Mountain Heritage Arts and Crafts Show in Harpers Ferry, WV and the Colorfest in Thurmont, MD. She was an active member of the Church of the Savior in Rohrersville, she with her husband were worship leaders and she was a coordinator for the South County Food Pantry for Washington County, MD.
Surviving in addition to her husband is her daughter, Dawn Day, of FL, and siblings, Charlotte Nye, Guy Sparks, Sandra Hafer, Robert Sparks, Ronnie Sparks and Jerry Loy and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Sowers and brother, Thomas Sparks.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at the Church of the Savior, 4325 Main Street, Rohrersville, MD 21779. The Rev. Paul (Duke) Jefferies, pastor of the church, will officiate. Interment will be private. Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick.
