Sara Catherine Earp

August 25, 1929 — February 16, 2018

Mrs. Sara Catherine Earp, 88, of Frederick and Hagerstown, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018, at the Hagerstown Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Donald Carson Earp. Born in Upper Tract, West Virginia on August 25, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Daniel David and Marcella Hartman Riggleman.
Mrs. Earp was a homemaker and a member of the Victory Christian Center Church, in Frederick.
Surviving are her sons, Donald C. Earp, Jr., and wife Wendi, of Adamstown and Wayne D. Earp and wife Susan, of Roslyn, PA, seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Jesse, Harvey, William and Cora Riggleman, Minnie Hinkleman, Lillie Reedy, Nida See, Fannie Seares and Nina Bell Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., on Monday, February 19, 2018, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. The Rev. Arthur "Pete" Baugher, will officiate. Interment will be in the Resthaven Memorial gardens, Frederick.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
