Doris Jean Tinder

Doris Jean (Ramsburg) Tinder, 76, of Dundalk, MD, passed away unexpectedly at her home on February 16, 2018.  She was the wife of the late Eldred C. Tinder and the daughter of Maurice and Pauline (Heerd) Ramsburg.

Doris was a 1959 graduate of Frederick High School and worked for GAC Finance Company after graduation till the Frederick branch closed.

Doris was very active in the Odd Fellows and the Rebekahs and had been a member of the Samaritan Rebekah Lodge #51 in Frederick and was currently a member in these Rebekah lodges: Faith #57 in Catonsville, Helena # 66 in Dundalk, Upper Falls # 78 in Bradshaw.  Additionally, she was a member of Providence Odd Fellows Lodge #116 and the Encampment #13. Doris was Past President of Monumental Ladies Auxiliary #3 LAPM, Past President of the Rebekah Assembly of MD, and Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of MD.  Doris was also an active member and Past President of the Breakfast Optimist Club of Dundalk and a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Frederick.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Barbara Cutsail.  She is survived by her sisters Marlene Weintraub (Alan), Virginia Dasher; brother Maurice Ramsburg (Sue); nieces Kathryn Simionato (Marcos), Michelle Adams (Steve), and Paula Thompson(Daniel); nephews Keith Weintraub (Dana), David Ray Beachy (Brenda), and William Biddinger II (Marie).

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701.  The funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m.  on Friday, February 23, 2018.  Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Frederick.
