Paul Byron Stockman

December 11, 1927 — February 19, 2018

Mr. Paul Byron Stockman, 90, of Frederick, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018, at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center. Born in Lander on December 11, 1927, he was a son of the late Paul A. and Hattie L. Ahalt Stockman.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WW II. He worked for most of his life as a carpenter having worked for Ausherman Homes and Fred Rudy Construction. He and his son also had built several home together. He was a member of the Francis Scott Key American Legion Post # 11, the Amvets Post # 2, and he was past president of the Redmens Club and the Eagles Club.
Surviving are his children, Randy B. Stockman and Rhonda L. Trail and husband Melvin, grandchildren, Meghan Trail, Natalie Wilson and Josh, Byron Stockman and Kristina,
great grandchildren, Mason and Layla, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Kathi Winpigler Stockman and brothers, Donald and Bruce Stockman.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m.,on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Private interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Hospice of Frederick County, P. O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
