Julia Marie Horine

Ms. Julia Marie Horine, 89, of Greenbelt, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Hillhaven Assisted Living, in Adelphi. Born in Frederick, on July 25, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Marie Wood Murphy.
Julia was retired from the telephone company, having worked as an operator and clerk, for C & P and Verizon. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the auxiliary of the American Legion in Greenbelt. She loved to travel and enjoyed spending time at the beach in Fenwick Island, DE.
She will be remembered by special friends, Cliff Bennett, Connie Shafer, Sandra Burdette and Charlotte Shaffer.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at 11 a.m., at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Friends may call one hour prior to the services. The Rev. Joe Burdette, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
