Ronald Lee Lydard

March 21, 1951 — May 25, 2018

Ronald Lee Lydard Sr., 67, of Frederick, MD was called home to be with the Lord on Friday May 25, 2018 at Washington Medstar Hospital Center. Born March 21, 1951 he was the son of the late Harold L. and Celicia Ann Lydard (nee Dawson). He was the beloved husband of 46 years to Vicki Easterday Lydard.

Ronald worked for Frederick County Government Water Department in which he retired after 25 years of service. He had a love of antique fire trucks and was a avid fan of trains. Ronald will also be remembered by his best friend and coworker Dexter Cann.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by; son Ronald L. Lydard Jr. and wife Amanda of Easley, SC, and daughter Kelly Diane Smith, and husband Clay, of Jefferson, MD, grandchildren; Chelsea Youngerman, and husband David, Corey Lydard, and fiancé Emily Copper, Chance Smith, Celicia Gracie Ann Lydard, and Laurie Perez. Great-grandchildren; Colton Youngerman, Briar Youngerman, Casey Lydard, and Layla Perez; sisters; Patsy Stark (John) Lois Woods (Dennis) and Carol Mitchell (Eric) he is also survived by 3 sister-in-laws, 1 brother-in-law, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends may gather at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701 on Thursday June 7, 2018 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday June 8, 2018 at 11am. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
