Jean Audrey Scott

Ms. Jean Audrey King Scott, 77, of Frederick, died in Sunday, June 3, 2018, in Hagerstown. Born in South Boston, VA on December 5, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Malcolm Lee King and Jessie Harris King Charles.
Jean was retired from the Montgomery County Public School System, where she worked as a school counselor. She enjoyed playing bridge.
Surviving are her children, Paul C. Scott II, of Frederick, Richard L. Scott and husband, William Kirkwood, Jr., of Phoenixville, PA and Jennifer S. Adkins and husband Philip, of Knoxville, her brother, Malcolm L. King, Jr., and wife Margie, of Emporia, VA and her niece Michelle Lee King Edmonds and husband, Scott., five grandchildren, Joyce Morgan, John Morgan, Hannah Adkins, Abigail Adkins and Katniss Adkins, one great grandson, Gavin.
Celebration of her life will be held at 2:30 p.m., on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
