Phyllis H. Bowlus

She was a devoted member of the Jefferson Fire Company where she often spent quality time with friends and family during annual events. She also enjoyed doing ceramics, going on bus trips, playing cards, and working in her yard where she had many beautiful flowers. Phyllis was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Frederick, MD.
Surviving is her son-in-law, Nelson (Donnie) Reifsnider of Frederick and 4 grandchildren, Lorie Ann Reifsnider of Emmitsburg, Michael Lee Reifsnider and wife, Kelly, of Aurora, Colorado, Nicole Denise Fer and husband, Paul, of Frederick, and Patti Lynn Reifsnider of Emmitsburg. She also leaves behind 6 great-grandchildren, Justin Mark Tamminga of Emmitsburg, Angeline Grace Gorman of Emmitsburg, Andrew David and Daniel Anthony Fer (twins), Nathan Fer, and Gabriel Patrick Fer of Frederick. She will be dearly missed by a long list of family and friends, especially her niece, Terri Horman.
She was preceded in death by her only child, Patsy Ann Reifsnider and her twelve brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends at Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 6-8 PM. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 8428 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. In lieu of flowers, Phyllis would like donations made to the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company, Lander Road, Jefferson, MD 21755.
