Alline Rutledge Takuski
November 11, 1931 — June 22, 2018
Mrs. Takuski was a longtime member of the South End Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School and assisted with various fund raisers. She was a member of the FSK American Legion Post 11, Frederick. Her life's work was caring for others. She was a caretaker working in home health care until she was over 80 years old. She was also a great caregiver for her family.
Mrs. Takuski was the caring mother of Michael Takuski & wife Cindy of Keedysville, Karen Rice & husband David of Frederick and Cheryl Thomas & husband David of Thurmont; the grandmother of Cavon Wilcox, David Thomas, Devin Thomas, and Brittany Thomas. She is also survived by her beloved dog Teddy and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sisters Ethel Brownley and Nancy Brown and John B. Rutledge who was like a brother to her.
Mrs. Takuski's family would like to thank the entire staff at Glade Valley Nursing home for there loving care.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 3 to 6 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 11 AM. Pastor Jim McBride will officiate. The interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Mrs. Takuski's name to the South End Baptist Church, 506 Carrollton Dr, Frederick, MD 21701 or to the FSK American Legion Post 11, 1450 Taney Ave, Frederick, MD 21702.
