Dorcas Juanita Main

Mrs. Dorcas Juanita Main, 85, of Frederick, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert Lee Main, Sr., who died on March 3, 2018. Born on March 28, 1933 in Charles Town, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Virgil H. and Mildred Hough Goode.

She had a great love for children and spent most of her life in pre school day care, having worked for the State of Maryland, also spent time in the assessment office for the state and retired from Rock Creek School in pre school day care. She was a long time member of the Bush Creek Church of the Brethren and served the church as a deacon and many more capacities. She loved her entire family and the many family gatherings.

Surviving are her three children, Robert L. Main, Jr., Larry A. Main and Brenda. all of Frederick, and Terri H. Main, of Clear Spring, one brother, William "Pete" Goode and Joyce, of Frederick, two sisters, Jean Fender and Wayne, of Keymar and Donna Nunn and Wilkie, of Frederick, grandchildren, Tammy Main and Erick, Lee Main and Chrissy Main, great grandchildren, Julia, Lea and Maddox Madrid, Brett and Alina Bender, also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Anna E. Main

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at the Bush Creek Church of the Brethren, Monrovia. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 until the service begins at 11 AM. The Rev. Melissa Barnes, Rev. Leo Barnes, and Pastor Wilkie Nunn,  will officiate. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Monrovia.

Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral; Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick.
