Evelyn Irene Giesler

Evelyn Irene Giesler, 89, a resident of Montevue Assisted Living, Frederick, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born in Urbana on January 6, 1929, she was a daughter of the late James and Jenny Giesler.
Evelyn was retired from the David W. Taylor Naval Research and Development Center, where she worked as a secretary. She was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Urbana.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Cubitt and Louise Whisner, and three brothers, Mehrl, Carl and James Giesler.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Rev. Mary O'Neill, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
