Helen Moore Wilkins

Mrs. Helen Moore Wilkins, 93, of Frederick, a resident of Country Meadows, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Melvin Lee Wilkins, who died on January 6, 2011. Born on March 9, 1925 in Mount Jackson, Virginia she was a daughter of the late James and Mary Sager.
Helen was a homemaker for most of her life and a member of the Evangelical Reformed United Church of Christ, Frederick.
Surviving are her three children, Teresa L. Wilkins and Ken Blair, of Bluemont, VA, Toni Barber, of Ocean City, MD and Thomas A. Wilkins and Debra A. Taylor, MD, of Carlisle, PA, grandchildren, Blaine Ridgley, Taylor and Maris Wilkins, two great grandchildren, Kialee and Kora Barber. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Barber, four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. The Rev. Dr. Barbara Kershner Daniel will officiate. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet cemetery, Frederick.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Grace United Church of Christ, 10492 Orkney Grade Lane, Mt. Jackson, VA 22842.
