Kathleen Buxton Burkett

Mrs. Kathleen Buxton Burkett, 83, of Frederick, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at the Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Floyd A. Burkett. Born in Frederick on December 20, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Gladys Shifler Buxton Millen.
She was retried from the Frederick County Public Schools, where she had worked in food service. She was a former member of the Rainbow Belles.
Surviving is her sister, Corrine Y. Zimmerman, of Frederick, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Orville A. Yingling.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. Those wishing to attend may meet inside the main gate by 10:15 a.m. Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Frederick.
