Mrs. Neeta Ellen Falconer, 82, of Frederick, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Homewood at Crumland Farms. She was the wife of Lucian K. Falconer, Jr. Born in Carey, Ohio on August 10, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth R. and Martha Phillips Dame.
Neeta was a registered nurse for many years having worked at Frederick Memorial Hospital and for 28 years taught at Frederick Community College in the nursing program. She was an active member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, sang in the church choir and was involved with Stephen Ministries. She was a member of the retired nurse's group of Homewood at Frederick.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Lucian K. Falconer III and wife Penny, of Leesburg, VA; Kenneth M. Falconer and wife Roxanne, of Brunswick; and Philip E. Falconer, of Lovettsville, VA; two grandsons, Nicholas and Nathaniel Falconer.
Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, including her nephew, Mark A. Fogle. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pamela M. Phipps and Susan D. Fogle.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m., on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Monday, August 13, 2018 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Frederick. The Rev. Douglas P. Jones, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
