Lillian Null

May 4, 1927 — August 17, 2018

Lillian Bazzell Null, daughter of Harriet Ripley Bazzell and Carlton Bazzell, was born in Howard County May 4, 1927. Due to the early passing of both parents, Lillian was raised by a family friend, Mrs. Mary Mahoney in Frederick.

Lillian graduated from Frederick High School in 1944 and was then employed as a bookkeeper at D.C. Winebrenner Wholesale Grocery for 10 years.  She married Donald E. Null on Nov. 6, 1948 who preceded her in death, January 2016.

She is survived by twin daughters, Donna Marie Seaman, and husband Ruston Seaman, of Philippi, WV and Sherrie Lynn Hulbert, and husband Vincent Hulbert of Midland Park, NJ, as well as five grandchildren: Leah and Ruston Seaman, Ryan, Jason and Kaitlyn Hulbert; her brother, Carlton Bazzell and his wife, Francis, of Grasonville, MD. and her much beloved cat, Grace.  She was also preceded in death by a half-brother, Robert Bazzell of Mineral Wells, TX.

In 1967, Lillian joined the Frederick Travel Club and a year later began planning and conducting day tours and theater trips to the National Theater, the Kennedy Center, and numerous other theaters in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. As time passed, she started conducting longer tours and cruises      domestically and internationally. Over the years, she escorted the club on 68 cruises worldwide, visited multiple countries on every continent, other than Antarctica—which she eventually flew over. Lillian’s last trip with the Frederick Travel Club was in December of 2017, when she saw American in Paris at the Kennedy Center.
