Mrs. Catherine Elaine Summers, 79, of Frederick, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at the Kline Hospice House. She was the wife of the late Paul C. Summers, Sr., who died on June 29, 2014. Born in Frederick on June 14, 1939, she was a daughter and one of eight children of the late Grayson and Lillian Long Barthlow.
She had worked for several years as a mortgage processor for FCNB and Frederick County Bank. She was a member of the LibertyCentral United Methodist Church.
Surviving is her son, Paul C. Summers, Jr., and wife Catherine I., of Knoxville and her granddaughter, Amelia Summers and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., on Monday, August 27, 2018, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. The Rev. Jerry M. Cline, will officiate. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the LibertyCentral United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 337, Libertytown, MD 21762, or to the Kline Hospice House, P. O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
