William Albert Grable

Mr. William Albert "Bill" Grable, 77, of Adamstown, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at his home, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was the loving husband of Cynthia M. "Cindy" Gibson Grable. In September they would have been married 55 years. Born in Frederick, on May 7, 1941, he was a son of the late Charles C., Sr., and June Fox Grable.
Bill was retired after 28 years as an Electrician for PEPCO.  He was a member of South End Baptist Church. He loved to sing, listen to Bluegrass music and was quite a movie buff. Bill also loved to build and fly model airplanes.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughter, Melinda M. Dodson and Robert, of Adamstown, one brother, Charles C. Grable, Jr. and Doris, of Frederick, two grandchildren, Anna and Kyle Dodson, brother-in-law, Gerald Travis, of Virginia and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, twin brother, Robert, Gary Grable and Doris Travis.
His family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and caregivers of Hospice, especially; Patricia, Nicole and Rachel.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, in the Manor Reformed Church Cemetery, on Ballenger Creek Pike.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Hospice of Frederick County, P. O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
