Naomi Stern

Mrs. Naomi Stern, 100, of Frederick, died Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the Record Street Home. She was the wife of the late Robert Stern Sr., who preceded her in death in 1962.

Born September 16, 1918 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Maude (Kump) Taylor.

She is survived by her children, Carole Harding, Susan Booth and husband William, Ann Segal and husband Gilbert, Kathy Kraus and husband Robert and Linda McConville and husband Leo, 16 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her children, Robert Stern Jr., David Stern, Richard Stern, John Stern, William Stern and Jody Guzik.

Naomi’s family will always remember her as a dedicated, resilient, hardworking mother who always put her family first.  She was an avid reader and devoted sports fan. The family would like to thank all the staff of Record Street for their dedication and the compassionate care they provided to our mother.

The family will receive friends at the viewing from 1pm to 3pm, Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 1:30PM, on Sunday September 23, 2018 The Frederick Masonic Temple, 6816 Blentlinger Road, Frederick, MD 21702. Rev. Albert K. Lane III will officiate. Interment will be private.
