Melissa Smith Geisbert, age 49 of Brunswick,passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at University of Maryland hospital. She was the wife of Clifford Geisbert, Jr. Born on January 23, 1969 she was the daughter of Gene and Bonnie Smith and Frances Gaver.

Melissa was a graduate of Walkersville High School in 1987. She was a laboratory tech for twenty years before joining her husband in the family business. Melissa was a long time member of Frederick Christian Fellowship (FCF). She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed the outdoors and summers at the beach with her family.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter Ariel and grandson Jaxson, and her sons Jordan, and Jake. She is also survived by her siblings Gene Smith, Jr. and wife Toni, Jeffrey Gaver and wife Tara, Sherry Abrecht and Dale Robertson, Brandy James and husband Eric, Jesse Watson, Kelly Williams, Michael Morgan, Chase Morgan, and Chad Mayhew. She is also survived by mother-in-law Bondena Burns-Jacques, and sister-in-law Tiffany Arrington and husband Ritchie. She is also survived by father-in-law Clifford Geisbert, Sr. and wife Carol, sister-in-law Carry Garman & husband Justin and brother-in-law Adam Geisbert & wife Shannon.

Friends will be received on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 4 to 7 PM at Frederick Christian Fellowship, 10142 Hansonville, Rd., Frederick, MD 21702. A funeral service will be held at the church on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11 AM. The interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the University of Maryland Maureen and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center, 22 S. Greene Street, Baltimore, MD 21201.
