Christine E Rinta

Lt. Colonel Christine E. "Chris" Rinta,(RET USAF) 65, of Walkersville, MD and formerly of Beaver Creek, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Glade Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late James A. Lohman. Born on October 4, 1952, in Geneva Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Catharina Steenbergen Rinta.
Chris was a graduate of Kent State University School of Nursing and received her Masters in Nursing from Case Western Reserve. She was retired as a Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force, with over 20 years of service.
Surviving is her brother, Henry V. Rinta and wife Sharon, of Walkersville, her nephew, Andrew G. Rinta and wife Sara and their son Alexander.
Funeral services and interment will be private. Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Frederick, MD.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Frederick County Humane Society, 5712 Industry Lane, Frederick, MD 21704.
