Evelyn "Kate" Angleberger

Mrs. Evelyn C. "Kate" Angleberger, 87, of Frederick, died Tuesday, October 2, 2018. She was the wife of the late Lindbergh Angleberger Sr, who preceded her in death in 1988.

Born December 28, 1930 in Frederick she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Elsie (Shelton) Tyeryar.

Kate was an active person who loved to work. She worked for Frederick Tailoring and with Charles River Labs. She worked from the age 13 until retirement at age 82. She was a compassionate, loving and generous women that loved caring for children. On the holidays, she was always the one to host the dinners. Kate enjoyed socializing, shopping, dinning out and word puzzles.

Kate is survived by her children, Vickie Shankle and husband Chris, Lindbergh Angleberger Jr. and wife Kathleen and Jerry Angleberger, grandchildren, Tonya Hanvy and husband Lee, James Angleberger, Jay Angleberger, Joseph Angleberger and wife Jackie and Jennifer Fitzgerald and husband Alan, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, sisters, Connie Steinhaus and Freda Martinez, numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to friend and caregiver Rosemary Peterson for her loving care and compassion.

In addition to her husband, Kate was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Tyeryar, Benjamin Tyeryar, Reid Tyeryar, Herbert Tyeryar and Jack Tyeryar and sisters, Alice Staley and Elsie Blank.

The family will receive friends from 2pm to 5pm, on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be held at 1:00PM, on Monday, October 8, 2018 in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
