Phyllis Castle

Phyllis Elaine Castle (Dolly)  Age 90 passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at her home in Lake Worth Florida.

She was born in New Market, Maryland, daughter of the late Margaret Gertrude Albaugh Runkles and Francis Scott Runkles, sister to the late Geraldine L. Long, survived by sister Margaret G. Runkles, brother Jay S. Runkles both of Lake Worth Florida as well as many nieces and nephews.

Dolly grew up in Frederick County Maryland, a graduate of the Frederick High School class of 1947. While living in Frederick she was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran church before moving to Florida and becoming a member St. Michael Lutheran Church in Wellington.

Dolly enjoyed embroidery, making pottery and playing bingo.  She was much loved by her family and friends and had a great love for children,  frequently talking about helping the little ones.

Memorial donations may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105

Visitation will be at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 1pm followed her funeral service at 2:30 pm.  Interment will be at Mt Olivet Cemetery, Frederick Maryland.
