Samuel Leroy Main

Mr. Samuel Leroy Main, age 84, of Frederick, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Anna Elizabeth Main. Born in Mount Airy, Maryland on February 9, 1934 to the late Clyde David and Virgie Runkles Main.

Mr. Main was an avid hunter who enjoyed going on hunting trips with his family. His favorite musician was George Jones, whom he listened to often with his beloved wife. He was a lifelong member at Bush Creek Church of the Brethren. He also greatly enjoyed volunteering at the church, which he did for many years.  Lastly, he opened the Frederick Glass Shop in 1961 with partner Don Leiby; they served the Frederick area for many years.

Mr. Main is survived by his children Dianna Turner and husband Matthew, Dannie Main and wife Mary, Sammi main and fiancé Carroll Hetrick, granchildren, Randy Workman and wife Monica, Jason Main and wife Gena, great-grandchildren, Joshua Workman and wife Rachel, Shelby Workman, Daniel Main, Allyssa Freeman, Jase Main, great-great grandchildren, Bryson Workman, Riley Workman, sister, Darlene Fry. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Clyde David Main, Robert Main, Allen Main, and Ellis Main.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, October 22, 2018, at Bush Creek Church of the Brethren, 4821 Green Valley Road, Monrovia, MD, 21770. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.  Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
