Margaret Rose Mills

November 30, 1943 — October 18, 2018

Margaret Rose Mills, age 74, of Walkersville, Maryland died, Thursday October 18, 2018 and joined in eternal rest her beloved husband Gene Thomas “Tom” Mills. Born November 30, 1943 in Frederick, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Robert Franklin Kreh and Rosa Glessner Oden.

Margaret was a writer and editor for the Frederick News Post. A co-publisher of the Glade Times and the Mountain Mirror. She would finish out her retirement at the National Cancer Institute at Fort Detrick.

She had a deep love for her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her grand-dog Lilly Rose. Margaret was also an avid reader.

Margaret is survived by: her daughter Genè Fouchè and husband Tad Janes, her son Gene Thomas Mills, Jr. and wife Wendi Devilbiss Mills, sister Jacqueline Earl Oden Heaton, grandchildren; Lena Rose Janes, Jacob Lee Callahan, Gene Thomas Mills, III, and Mia Rochelle Mills, her special nephew Joshua Ran Heaton, her dear friends; Teri Burdette, Alison Rattray, Carrie Court, Jody Becker, Teri Baker, and Sandy Bruchie. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her brother Robert Franklin Kreh, Jr.

The family will receive friends and family at the Mount Olivet Mausoleum, 515 South Market Street, Frederick, MD 21701, on Monday October 22, 2018 from 1pm until the start of the memorial service at 2pm. Entombment will immediately follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Maryland Ensemble Theatre, Tom and Marg Mills Fund, 31 West Patrick Street, Frederick, MD 21701.
