Marybelle Posey

Mrs. Marybelle C. Posey, 77, of Adamstown, Maryland passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Bruce H.W. Posey, Sr. Born in Frederick, Maryland on October 22, 1941. Her parents were the late Clyde Archie and Mary Virginia Thomas.

Mrs. Posey worked as a school bus driver in Prince Georges County, Forestville Bus Lot, for most of her life. She was a graduate of Frederick High School class of 1959. She and some of her classmates would still get together for monthly dinners and outings. She also enjoyed traveling with her cousins, Sally and Ludy, to Amish and Farmers Markets. She enjoyed Gardening and sewing in her spare time. She was a member of the Forest Grove United Methodist Church located in Dickerson, Maryland.

Mrs. Posey is survived by daughters, Virginia “Jinny” Griesemer and husband Jeremiah, Jr., Mary P. Stewart and husband Michael E., grandchildren Kathryn Wallace and husband Jesse, Michael A. Stewart, Bonnie Griesemer, Kevin B. Stewart, Jeremiah Griesemer III, Rene Furby and husband Charles, two step-grandchildren, Michael Posey, Michelle Posey. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her many cousins, family, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4p.m. to 7p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD, 21701. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will be private at a later date .
