Susan Kelly

Susan Carole Kelly, nee Jordan, 63 of Frederick, died on October 25, 2018 surrounded by her family.  She was preceded in death by her late husband, Howard H. Kelly, III.

Born in Chester County, Pennsylvania on May 10, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy and Nelson Marsh. Susan graduated from Governor Thomas Johnson High School in 1973.  She spent many years working with Hewlett-Packard Company.  She attended Calvary United Methodist Church in Frederick.

Susan loved her sons dearly and was like a second mother to many throughout her life.  She enjoyed rainy days when she could have a good cup of coffee and read a new book.  Getting to the beach was always on her mind, and she was always busy in the kitchen cooking for others.  Susan will be deeply missed by her friends and family, now and forever.

Susan is survived by her children Sean Kelly and his fiancée Katie Preston, and Ryan Kelly and his wife Kelly Ann Kelly.  She has two beautiful granddaughters, Adalyn and Alexis.  Susan is also survived by her siblings and their spouses, Kay Green & Rex, Gary Marsh & Robyn, Rick Jordan, Gery Jordan, Cynthia Hanna & Michael, and Juliette McWilliams & Dan.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews Case Jordan, Michael Hanna, Kaitlyn Hanna, Jessica Corun, Megan Jennings, Eric Green, Lon Gallagher, Sean Gallagher, and Lisa Butler.  Susan was preceded in death by her nephew Colter Jordan earlier this year.  She will be remembered by her family, extended family, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 5 pm on Saturday, November 3 at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick followed by a celebration of life at the Elks Lodge, 289 Willowdale Drive, Frederick.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702 or to the C.
