Thomas Michael Severn

April 11, 1949 — October 29, 2018

Thomas Michael “Tom” Severn, 69, of Frederick, passed peacefully on Monday, October 29, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born in Washington, D.C. to the late William Leo and Jeanne Lorraine (nee Cook) Severn. He was the beloved husband of 41 years to Lynne Marie Severn.

Tom was an avid fan of the Washington Capitals and Nationals sports teams. He was also a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Tom was a caring and loving family man. He found great enjoyment spending time with his children and grand-children. He was proud to be called “Pops.” Tom’s presence will also be deeply missed by his “dysfunctional” Bushwallers’ family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Jeremy Severn and wife Amy, and Sarah Severn, his grandchildren; Isaac Bell, Maddox Severn, and Braddock Severn, his brothers; John (Jack) Severn and wife Janet, and W. Kenneth Severn.

Family and friends may gather at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701, on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 6 – 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 118 East 2nd Street, Frederick, MD 21701 on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11am. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
