Charles Leroy Young

Charles Leroy Young, Jr., 55, of Frederick, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at home, surrounded by his loving family, after losing his battle with cancer. Born in Frederick on December 10, 1962 he was the son of Carol Ann and the late Charles Leroy Young, Sr.

Charles was a painter for most of his life. He was an avid Harley Davidson fan and enjoyed taking rides on his motorcycle. One of his favorite hobbies included working on cars.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters Debbie Leach and husband Doug, Barbara Gaver, Lisa Young, and brother-in-law Bill Staub. He will be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins, as well as a very special friend, Mary Richards. He was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Staub, grandparents Richard and Zora Young, Carl and Elizabeth Tobery, and brother-in-law Richard Gaver.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church St., Frederick. The family politely requests no flowers.
