Michelle Elizabeth Muir

August 20, 1965 — December 5, 2018

Michelle E. Muir, known as The Ice Cream Lady, age 53 of Frederick, has unfortunately passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. Born on August 20, 1965, she is survived by her parents Sharon Taft, Robert Haas and her step mother Katherine Haas.

Michelle owned and operated M&M Enterprise, driving an ice cream truck all around Frederick. During Tax season she worked to prepare taxes serving Jackson Hewitt, Liberty Tax Service, and S&S Accounting, all in Frederick. In her free time she loved riding motorcycles, gardening, humming birds and pretty much anything outdoors. She did many 5K walks for various charities and enjoyed taking her children on various field trips to the zoo. Most of all she was known for a great smile and her love for her family, particularly her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Michelle is survived by her daughters Leanna A. Muir of Frederick and Brittani E. Muir of Frederick; her grandchildren Bladen A. Muir and Alice J. Muir; and her siblings Gary Taft, Daniel Haas and Kelly Ward. She will also be missed by long time family friend Elizabeth Rosati.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at 2 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. The interment will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Michelle's name directly to her family.
