Mrs. Thelma Arlene "Rusty" Brown, 91, of Frederick, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018, at the Frederick Health and Rehabilitation Center. Twice married she was the wife of the late John T. "Jack" Brown and Walter K. Keeney. Born in Jefferson on January 11, 1927, she was a daughter of the late John R., Sr., and Mary Beatrice Nuse Fawley.
Rusty had worked for 17 years at the Valley Elementary School, as a secretary assistant. She was a member of the Jefferson United Church of Christ.
Surviving is her son, William K. Keeney and wife Becky, of Point of Rocks, and a daughter, Donna L. Hoover, of Frederick, granddaughter, Aimee Fisher and husband Brad, and great grandson, Maddox, sisters, Joan Rothenhoefer, of Frederick, Patricia Blank and husband Frank, of Jefferson and Linda Bowers and husband Gary, of FL., and many nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law, Billie Fawley, of Brunswick. She was preceded in death by son-in-law, Herbert F. Hoover, brothers, James Fawley, Eugene "Pete" Fawley, John R. "Bud" Fawley, Jr., and brother-in-law, Jack Roethenhoefer.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, December 14, 2018, at the funeral home. The Rev. Dr. Darrel R. Justh, will officiate. Interment will be in the St. Paul's Cemetery, Point of Rocks.
