David Elden Jensen, 97, of Frederick, passed away on Tuesday, December 11 at home. He was the husband of Joanne Elaine Biesecker Jensen. Born August 21, 1921 in Glenwood, Utah. He was the son of the late Thorvald Christian Jensen and Emily Dora Bywater Jensen.
He served in the United States Marine Corp during World War II as a highly decorated fighter pilot in the South Pacific. Prior to his service during the war he worked for the FBI. He worked for many decades for, and retired as president, of Avemco Insurance Company.
Surviving is his wife of forty-eight years; three children, David A. Jensen and wife Linda of Clare, Michigan, Thomas Jensen of Salt Lake City, Cynthia S. Marsh Bowden and husband Jeffrey Bowden; and son-in-law of James Cupino; eleven grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren (with two more on the way.)
He was predeceased by his daughter Elizabeth Marsh Cupino and his first wife, Nancy Ann White Jensen Allred. He was also predeceased by his parents; his brothers, Barry Thorvald Jensen and Arden L. Jensen.
He will be interred at Mount Olivet Cemetery in a private ceremony.
