Jean Adria Wasko

December 14, 1937 — December 12, 2018

Mrs. Jean A. Wasko, age 80 of Frederick passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Glade Valley Center, Walkersville. She is survived by her husband Andrew Wasko who she was married to for 58 years. Born on December 14, 1937 in Frederick she was the daughter of the late Donald and Mary Elizabeth Adams.

Mrs. Wasko was a graduate of Frederick High School. She worked for Frederick County Public Schools as an administrator retiring in 1996. She was a longtime member of St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Libertytown. She loved spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren, great-grandson and all her beloved animals.

Mrs. Wasko is survived by her children, Andrew J. Wasko of Frederick, Michael F. Wasko and wife Jennifer of West Virginia and Gabrielle L. Patton and husband Michael of Thurmont, her grandchildren Savannah, Bridget, Madison, Adria, and Michael and her great-grandson Preston.

Friends will be received on Monday, December 17, 2018, from 11 AM until 12 Noon at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where a service will begin in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home at 12 Noon. The interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Libertytown. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Wasko's name to St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 9190 Church St., Union Bridge, MD 21791.
