Mark Anthony Marketon

Mark Anthony Marketon, 8, of Frederick, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Johns Hopkins Childrens Hospital.

Mark was born May 2, 2010 in Rockville, to parents Anthony and Rebekah (Parrish) Marketon. Mark was known for being a sweet, smart, funny, kind and loving boy. He was loved by all who met him, and he has left footprints on the hearts of many.

In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his paternal grandmother, Evangelia Marketon, maternal grandmother, Rebekah Parrish, aunts and uncles, John Marketon, Jeanette Marketon, John Parrish, Howard Parrish, Scott Parrish and Valerie Parrish, and numerous cousins.

The family will receive friends at St. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 920 W. 7th Street, Frederick, MD 21701 from 3pm to 7pm with a Trisagion Service beginning at 6:00PM on Wedneday, January 2, 2019.  The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the church. Father George Mastakas will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at the family’s home following the interment.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made in Mark’s memory to St. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church https://squareup.com/store/Donate2stspeterpaul and/or a stuffed animal that will be donated to the hospital in Mark’s memory to bring comfort to another child.
