Life Legacy

Mr. Lester Joseph "Ted" Routzahn, 90, of Knoxville, died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Laura Virginia "Jenny" Hale Routzahn.

He was born on June 10, 1921, in Point of Rocks and was the son of the late Joseph and Nona (Lambert) Routzahn.

Ted was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Jefferson and he was a veteran of the United States Army during WWII.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Maryanne Nuse, numerous nieces, nephews and a special friend, Pete Kane, of Virginia

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Harry Routzahn ,Walter Routzahn, and sister Hazel Himes.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday December 3, 2011, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 3864 Jefferson Pike, Jefferson. Rev. Katrina L. Holland will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery, Jefferson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be shared with St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 3864 Jefferson Pike, Jefferson, MD 21755 or the Humane Society of Frederick County, 217 West Patrick Street, Frederick, MD 21701.

Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick.
